Account Manager
Job Description
The Account Manager will be the primary "owner" of the day-to-day relationship between agency and client, responsible for balancing revenue goals of the agency and strategic goals of the client. You will work to have an intimate understanding of your client's business portfolio and work alongside the Group Account Director and VP Media to proactively bring forward challenges and opportunities.
You will be responsible for defining objectives and success requirements of initiatives, involved in formulating strategy with other agency resources and supervising delivery of projects. You will take a hands-on approach to day-to-day client management to ensure deliverables are achieved with the highest standard of quality and profitability.
Position Responsibilities
- Diligently manage projects, timelines, resources, and budgets for multiple client projects
- Ensure that all executional client requests are met in a timely and service-oriented manner
- Translate client requirements into agency briefs with the support of the account and strategy teams.
- Manage and mentor junior account team to develop their skills.
- Support the development of client presentations and be able to play an active role in those presentations.
- Provide ongoing accurate and thorough reporting to Sr. Management and/or VP and Finance team.
- Develop client budgets, perform reconciliations, and prepare monthly invoices.
- Participate in annual account planning for dedicated book of business including forecasting.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of client's business and industry, including competitive monitoring across competitive brands/services and categories.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 4+ years’ experience preferably from an agency background or client-side associate brand management or trade execution role with key focus on retail channel execution and promotion.
- Strong understanding of digital media strategies and platforms is a preferred qualification for this role.
- Strong communication, exceptional planning, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to build engaging client relationships.
- Detail oriented and ability to independently manage and lead projects, delivering on time and within budget.
- Team player who is confident and articulate for day-to-day management of client, vendor, and agency peer relationships.
- Critical thinking skills and an aptitude for finding solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
